Meet Kurt and Genesis
Kurt Conrad
Founder and Relocation Planning Guide
Kurt has spent years living and traveling throughout Latin America, gaining firsthand experience with the costs, culture, transportation, housing, border crossings, daily logistics, and unexpected challenges that come with building a life abroad.
His experience includes extended time in Ecuador, Paraguay, Brazil, Argentina and Colombia, along with travel through Mexico and Portugal. Through The Expat Escape Plan, he helps people compare their options, organize their research, prepare realistic budgets, and turn uncertainty into an actionable relocation strategy.
Kurt’s approach is practical and honest. The goal is not to sell a fantasy—it is to help people understand what moving abroad may actually require and whether a particular destination fits their priorities.
Genesis Espinoza
Ecuadorian Lawyer and Country Advisor
Genesis is an Ecuadorian lawyer who contributes local knowledge, cultural perspective, and Ecuador-specific legal context to The Expat Escape Plan.
Her perspective helps clients better understand how local institutions, documentation, residency questions, professional services, and everyday life may differ from what they are accustomed to in the United States.
Genesis also helps identify situations in which a person should stop relying on general online information and speak with a properly qualified professional. Any formal Ecuadorian legal services are handled separately from general relocation consultations and require an appropriate legal engagement.
